The key focus of this project is to incorporate a 3D world inside a second environment, in this case using Adobe Director. An important factor of the project will be how the two environments interact with each other. This will include the transfer of data from the 3D world (Time, Money, Health and Game Points) which will then be displayed in the surrounding environment. In addition there will be option sets (such as different levels) to change how the 3D world is displayed.
As introduced in the synopsis the project will comprise of a game set in a new film studio. The inspiration for the name was a combination of ‘Pinewood Studios’ and the location of ‘Plymouth’. During a set time period a number of tasks will need to be completed to ensure the studio is ready for the grand opening. A scoring system will be used, with points being awarded or deducted depending on the outcome of the tasks. A target total point score will be set before the start of the game. This score must be achieved or exceeded before the time allowed has elapsed.
